On November 2nd, 2022, we had the pleasure of hosting Nicholas Rehm for a presentation on UAS Flight Controllers. Nick designed his own (open source) flight controller, dRhemFlight. He uses it in his drones that he tests in his videos, showing us how much is possible in the world of vertical flight, even from our own backyard.

On September 29th we hosted Mr. Brian Tucker from Bell as Vertical Flight Society Atlanta Student Chapter. Mr. Tucker gave a presentation titled “Engineering Communication- A Case Study in Clearly Explaining Problems and Solutions to Improve Technical Outcomes” and answered our questions.
Many thanks to everyone who joined virtually, came in person, and contributed to the event.

Today we hosted Dr. Ilkay Yavrucuk from the Technical University of Munich as Vertical Flight Society Atlanta Student Chapter. Dr. Yavrucuk gave a presentation titled “Building Flight Models for Level D Full Flight Simulators: The Independent Way” and answered our questions.
We raffled off official VFS merchandise, courtesy of Vertical Flight Society. Many thanks to SAESAC (School of Aerospace Engineering Student Advisory Council) for sponsoring the event and to everyone who joined virtually, came in person, and contributed to the event.

On April 12th we hosted the general meeting of the Vertical Flight Society Atlanta Student Chapter. We discussed our schedule for the rest of the semester and for the summer semester. Activities over the last months were evaluated and feedback was gathered from our current members.
